Whimsical Woodland Centerpiece Ideas

When it comes to centerpieces I do think that woodland themed ones are my favorite. There is something about including those bits of forest that ignite the imagination and can truly make your reception feel like a fairy tale. Terrarium centerpieces in particular provide a fun little world for your guests to look at while enjoying the food, friends, and laughter – and these ones, because they are contained under glass, also make for a very clean atmosphere. The use of logs, branches, moss, ferns, bits of bark, and even little carved woodland animals set the foundation for whatever flowers you might want to use. In many cases flowers aren’t missed in a woodland arrangement, though I think a few delicate ones add a beautiful feminine touch and enhance the fairy tale feel. The one with ferns and lady slipper orchids in a bed of moss for example is absolutely fantastic. The key is to keep it looking natural, as if it might have grown there on it’s own. I also love the unique idea of using wood slices as plate chargers. With a little candlelight, any of these woodland displays creates a warm, enchanting vibe reminiscent of your favorite bedtime stories.
