If you’re a fan of the Emerald City you are going to love this styled shoot! I am completely smitten with this theme, and the location is simply breathtaking. The emerald mountains and sapphire blue lake at Piney River Ranch in Vail, Colorado set the scene for a rustic Oz inspired celebration. The bride and groom entered the party on a romantic love boat surrounded by the grandeur of the natural landscape. Jewel tones of ruby, emerald, and gold glittered on the main tables, a bright royal purple cake sat adorned with sugar poppies, and the bride, in a Tara Keely gown, held the most beautiful red poppy bouquet I’ve ever seen! There were even an oil can and several hot air balloons in the décor and on the invitations. Favors were candies in assorted glass bottles representing courage (atomic fire balls), brains (Smarties®), and heart (heart shaped gummies). “There’s no place like home,” is a fitting phrase when you consider home to be with whoever has your heart.
