Create a colorful handmade ribbon heart in just a few simple steps! This D.I.Y. wedding project is perfect for an eclectic, offbeat wedding with a free-spirit vibe. The ribbon heart looks purposefully handmade, with an uneven and funky pattern that adds to its charm.
To create this look you will use lightweight floral wire (you can pick this up at any craft or gardening store). Mold the wire into a heart shape that is two feet tall and two feet wide, or go even bigger if you want to! Overlap the wire and even wrap it around itself until you have a wire heart that is at least four wire-strands thick.
Wrap a piece of fabric around your heart to create some padding. This won’t be visible, so don’t worry too much about this! Glue or sew it into place.
