Country Chic Sunflower Wedding {from Casey Durgin Photography}

Meghan and Nathan held their wedding at the bright and beautiful Flag Hill Winery in Lee, New Hampshire. Their DIY day was filled with whimsy, sunflowers and endless smiles. The only thing more joyful than a bouquet full of sunflowers, daisies, and yellow roses, might be the look on Meghan and Nathan’s faces when they tied the knot under the elegant vineyard trellis. The yellow and aqua theme was carried throughout the bouquets, bridal party attire, aqua glass mason jars filled with yellow blooms, country chic sunflower cake, and a sky of yellow and blue paper lanterns in their reception tent. Read below for their story!

Before the Ring:
It all began back in the summer of 2006 at a bar in Davis Square in Somerville, MA (where we now live!). We met, became friends, and about 3 months later something clicked and we realized we both wanted more than just friendship. And that turned out to be a very good decision!

The Proposal:
March 27th, 2011: I was in my final semester of grad school at the time and Nathan had just gotten back from a 10 day business trip. After a long day of thesis writing and studying, Nathan suggested we go out for a nice dinner since we hadn’t had time to relax and enjoy each other’s company since he had gotten back from his trip. So he took me to one of our favorite restaurants in Davis Square, Posto, and when dessert came out, so did the ring!
