Colorado Woodland Wedding from Ashley Davis Photography

Rebecca and Pete tied the knot in Golden, Colorado at the Boettcher Mansion – a beautiful rustic mountain venue with breathtaking views and a relaxed, nature-inspired atmosphere. I love the woodland bouquets by Fleur de Liz! These actually may be some of my all-time favorites as far as rustic bouquets go. They pair beautifully with the balsam green bridesmaid dresses. The rustic floral style, featuring wildflowers and berries, was carried into the centerpieces and boutonnieres as well. And speaking of dresses, Rebecca’s is by designer Sheena Espiritu Solis, found on Etsy. The lacy shoulders are such an elegant touch, perfect for a simple and romantic wedding. Read below for their story.

Before the Ring (from the Bride):

Pete is from outside Glencoe, IL (outside of Chicago), I am from Evergreen, CO. Pete and I met in college at Santa Clara University. We have both done a good bit of international work (Senegal, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, East African Region). We love to travel, music, being outdoors, hanging with family, good food! We live in New York now and are moving to CO at the end of the year. Both of us are in grad school. I’m a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner getting a master’s in public health. Pete is getting his master’s in public administration with an international, small business development focus.

Details of the Day:

We wanted to have our ceremony outside, and we love the setting of Boettcher- trees and mountains in the background, and the stone building fits beautifully with the surroundings. We are simple people and love spending time with those that we really care about. We prefer a relaxed, laid-back environment over anything too fancy! And I am from Evergreen. Having the wedding at a cool place close to home was special.

My older sister, Caitlin Gordon did a HUGE amount of work for the wedding, cannot even list it all! Save the dates, invites, tastings, place cards, cute Pete and Becky sign, etc… My Mom- right there with Cait, got my shoes, hosted my friends etc.
