Kimberly and Nate, both from North Carolina, didn’t meet until they both moved to Anchorage, Alaska in the winter of 2008. This outdoorsy couple fell in love while snowshoeing, skiing, hiking, and camping in some of the most beautiful places on earth! After getting engaged in Yellowstone National Park (Nate proposed at a beautiful lake appropriately called Heart Lake) they decided to celebrate their engagement with a photo shoot a little closer to home, just outside of Blowing Rock, NC in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We wish them many more adventures!
From the bride: I wanted our engagement pictures (and wedding) to represent us: our style, our interests, and our history. I also wanted a location who’s beauty and charms would set the tone for our day and compliment our vintage/rustic theme. I knew the Blue Ridge Mountains would be the perfect place for the wedding and engagement pictures. We were lucky to have our e-session at the peak of the changing leaves, so the fall colors made an unbeatable backdrop. Everything came together so beautifully!
