Adding “something blue” to your bridal attire started with the Old English rhyme “Something Olde, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe.” It was thought to bring good luck, and whether or not you choose to check all of these off your list, it can be fun to incorporate bit of blue. It needn’t be on your person, but can also be incorporated in more modern ways, in your décor, bridal party attire, or even your menu! Here is a list of ideas to get you started. P.S. 1) A silk or satin sash. You can choose to wear it just during your ceremony or for photos and then remove it for the party later if you so choose.
