There is a color that’s been getting lots of buzz since it was announced recently as Pantone’s color of the year for 2015. I’m talking about Marsala – a beautiful rich red with a hint of rhubarb and ruby in it. At first I wasn’t too excited about this color to be honest, after enjoying Radiant Orchid as the color of 2014. But the more I look at Marsala, the more I like it and see that it can actually be quite an elegant hue. You can incorporate it into your look easily with lipstick, nail polish, or blush. It can be found in the seeds of pomegranates, earthy wine and the fruit of cherries…the bark of redwoods. It makes for a romantic gown or handsome suit, not to mention a stunning winter bouquet. It plays well with rhubarb, goldenrod, or slate. What do you think of Marsala? Let us know in the comments below!
