Once in a while I come across a wedding that causes me to let out an audible gasp of excitement. This is one of those weddings. The emerald shades of the bridesmaid dresses against the mirroring moss and ferns of the forest, the beautiful DIY wildflower bouquets, the bride going for a morning paddle (in her Nicole Miller dress) before the ceremony – it is all just SO gorgeous! With the misty lake in the background, under the tree canopy, Claire and Joe had such a peaceful, naturally beautiful wedding captured by Ellen of Ampersand Photography. Breathe deeply, put your feet up, and enjoy. And happy Friday!
From Ampersand Wedding Photography: Claire and Joe had a BEAUTIFUL, forested, lakeside wedding in Waterford Springs, Vermont. There were so many great DIY elements. Claire’s sister and mother put together all of the bouquets, from both a local florist and ordered flowers, and they also created the boutonnieres for the groomsmen and family members. They also wrapped and labeled all of the bottles of syrup from local vendors. All of the invitations were handwritten, and the place cards as well.

Hi! Beautiful! So beautifully captured. Can you please share what location this actually was? The place of the wedding I mean.
I believe this was at a private residence in Waterford Springs, Vermont.
This is incredible. I want my wedding and reception to be in a forest. Anyone have any ideas of where that could be. In vt preferably. Thanks!
Hi Amanda! I’m sure there are tons of options on private land, but I would also check out http://www.vtstateparks.com/htm/weddings.htm
