Heather and Jose’s wedding took place on a beautiful day in April at the Springs Preserve in Las Vegas, NV – the premiere LEED-certified location for ‘green’ brides and grooms. These two are enthusiastic hikers, mountain climbers, organic produce consumers and friends of the environment and their DIY, earthy-themed wedding is full of cool details! They chose to use plantable seed paper invites, eco-paper ribbon, bridesmaid flip flops made from recycled tires so they could take a break from their heels, bouquets and centerpieces made of succulents and tillandsia which guests took home at the end of the day, and reclaimed wood for a guestbook alternative, just to name a few!

Heather and Jose also used sustainable paper made from the Lotka bush and ceremony programs and reception menus printed on Elephant PooPoo Paper. Heather wore bridal jewelry from Green Diva Jewelry and made homemade pistachio lime wedding cookies for favors, packaged in compostable cellophane. She also made save-the-dates, painting them to look like vintage national park postcards.
