This photo shoot is so cute! I admit, I haven’t seen the entire film, but based on the trailer (which you can see here) I admire the artistic vision of director Wes Anderson in his latest, Moonrise Kingdom. In the film, a pair of young lovers flees their New England town, causing a local search party to fan out and find them. After seeing the 1960’s vintage campground themes Little Bird Media was inspired to put together a shoot based on the film. They wanted to showcase the beauty of an outdoor camp inspired wedding and Virginia’s Rappahannock River was the perfect location. With the natural beauty of the trees and the river tucked away in the background, they were sold on the location as a true nod to Camp Ivanhoe. I can’t even describe how much I love the lanterns, vintage record player, and candle-lit mason jars they added to their camp site. This shoot perfectly captures the essence of young love and pure-spirited adventure.
