Known for her sophisticated and feminine designs, Monique Lhuillier is certainly one of my top favorites when it comes to wedding dresses. Her spring/summer 2014 collection exudes a delicate beauty that I think is best described as layered loveliness. Though the collection encompasses a range of silhouettes, her use of layers can be seen in most of them. One might think the use of layers in bridal could become heavy and cumbersome, but these gowns are nothing of the sort. They’re more like the light, airy layers of spun sugar. From light-as-air lace, to feathery organza these wearable works of art seem to float right down the runway.
