Who wouldn’t love to get married in a field of lavender? I’ve long been in love with the dreamy purple hues of these flowers, and find this styled shoot in Sonoma, California, by KT Merry Photography absolutely beautiful – a sort of rustic romance meets French farmhouse elegance. Sara, of Sara Jean Events and Maria, of Dreamy Whites, along with several other talented vendors (see below) did a wonderful job of piecing together the details. I love the delicate place settings, a stem of lavender on each card, the lavender sprigs in vintage glass bottles as centerpieces. The charming bouquets by Blooms by Martha are some of my all-time favorites.

From KT Merry:
I have had a love affair with lavender for many, many years. The smell, the soft shades of purple and the simplicity of this rustic, yet elegant flower has always had me swooning over it. So, this summer when I realized that we would coincidentally be in Sonoma during the week of the lavender bloom my mind immediately went into overdrive to coordinate a wedding editorial shoot all about lavender and weddings, and how they are meant to be together. With the help of some amazingly talented vendors, and after a day of nonstop rain in Sonoma, we did just that, and may have created one of my favorite shoots to date.
