If you have not yet been introduced to the gowns by Australian designer Gwendolynne, you are in for a real treat. I instantly fell in love her 2013 collection ‘La Porte Enchantee (The Enchanted Door) and especially love this magical photo shoot featuring the gowns. The collection is subtle, feminine, fluid, lightweight, comfortable, elegant, romantic, and refined. While many of the gowns do feature intense embellishment they retain a delicate flow, complimenting and enhancing the natural silhouette and beauty of the wearer. The ‘La Porte Enchantee’ Collection is Gwendolynne’s most delicately and refined beaded collection to date. The designer continues to draw on inspiration from the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Aesthetic Movement of the beginning of the twentieth century, whilst being guided by her overriding principle of flattering the female form. I don’t know about you, but I’m enchanted and would love to wear any of these gowns!
Gwendolynne says, “I like women to feel they are individuals and beautiful, and that they are able to wear clothes that suit them and enhance their natural beauty. I love designing for people who see their wardrobes as a collection of timeless heirloom pieces.”
