Samantha, a photography student from New York, and Kevin from Belgium, met in Italy while studying abroad. When their term abroad came to an end they managed to stay in love with a little help from Skype and phone calls. On a visit to Belgium, Kevin proposed to Samantha and thousands of miles and an entire ocean didn’t stop these two from successfully planning their wedding! They were married on a beautiful October day in Sea Cliff, NY with an outdoor ceremony joined by their guests, the falling leaves, and a view of Long Island Sound. The orange and peach floral by Black Dahlia Inc. created the perfect autumn ambiance, and though the cool weather called for an indoor reception, they created a warm atmosphere complete with pumpkins, lanterns and glowing candlelight.
From the Photographer:
Samantha said her vows in French for Kevin, while Kevin spoke his vows in English for Samantha. It was a magical day filled with love, laughter, slight language barriers, and the best dancing I have ever seen on the dance floor. (Kevin’s family from Belgium had THE BEST dance moves I have seen to date.) Their honeymoon was cancelled due to Super Storm Sandy which happened less than 2 days after their wedding. They have recently moved to Belgium and absolutely love every minute of it.
