Sweet, Carolina Summer Wedding Style {Bailey Smith Photography}

Happy Friday, Violets! We’re wrapping up this week with oodles of prettiness! This inspiration shoot from Bailey Smith Photography and Old South Vintage Rentals portrays every Carolina girl’s dream of a sweet, southern summer affair. The local farm provided the perfect backdrop for their vision of a whimsical soiree filled with jaw-dropping gorgeous florals, a fun mix of vintage seating, and a luscious tablescape filled with blueberries and blackberries. Plus an adorable mini cake in an antique, Victorian birdcage. Favors included organic honey harvested from a local beekeeper and was displayed in a charming garden cart. So sweet! Martina Liana and Claire Pettibone gowns topped it off for a look we’ll be dreaming about all weekend.

“We chose to do the shoot at a local farm in NASCAR country. Perfectly fitting considering our model is girlfriend of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, Denny Hamlin. The farm provided the perfect backdrop for our vision of an eclectic and whimsical soiree.

For the reception area, we chose to keep the scene eclectic, yet comfortable. The pine wood topped farm tables with adorable white, painted legs were a perfect match with our mismatched dining chairs and mismatched china place settings. The floral runner was filled with pops of merlot and blush toned coral charm peonies and garden roses.

The honey favors kept the feel for the shoot local which was extremely important to us, as it is to any Carolina native. We wanted the shoot to have a “home grown” feel. From the blueberries, blackberries, honey, and kale found abundantly in the floral arrangements, all of these elements make for a sweet, Carolina summer.”
