This is a beautiful time of year for a wedding, but snow, rain, or cold temperatures may have you scrambling to find the right shoes for the big day. Fortunately, you have plenty of options to choose from, and many brides are skipping traditional pumps in favor of footwear that will keep their toes warm and dry. Expecting rain or snow? Why not find a fun boot built to keep out the elements? Rubber, faux fur, and synthetic fabrics are pretty tough, but if you’re worried about leather, you can find water-proofing products at shoe or sporting goods stores. Be aware some of these treatments will darken the leather, so you may want to test a tiny spot before proceeding. For chilly weather (rather than precipitation), you may want cute booties or heels that cover your toes. Still have your heart set on heels? Celebrate the season with shoes that sparkle and shine, or choose something in rich velvet or brocade.
Of course, you don’t have to decide between boots or heels: you may want to come prepared with both, for what adventures the day sends your way.
