Are you ready for some amazing wedding inspiration this Wednesday morning? I bring you photos of a gorgeous woodsy vintage style wedding photographed by Joyeuse Photography (quickly becoming one of my favorite photographers!) in January. Pull up a chair, pour yourself a mug of coffee or tea and take in the elegance of this beautiful couple’s Texas wedding. And, be sure to read Kasey and Blake’s story below. His proposal is so sweet!
Before the Ring:
We met at a coffee shop. We had run in the same circle of friends for a while, but really never noticed each other or paid attention to each other, which today we find really funny. But one day, when he was working at a coffee shop, I noticed him, and asked my friend who he was. She pointed out we had hung out before and he had even been to my house with friends, to my surprise! She formally introduced us and the rest is history!
Blake took me on a long drive and wouldn’t tell me where we were going; I knew something was up because he doesn’t like to spend money, especially on gas. We drove for about an hour and a half until we pulled up to a park in Waco where he revealed we were hiking (one of my favorites)! I thought at that point we were just going to hike and picnic, and that he was being sweet, until I saw the rose stem sticking out of his bag when he bent over to pick something up from inside his truck : ) We hiked for about five minutes, and he said he couldn’t take it much longer, read me a poem he wrote, got down on one knee, and handed me a rose with the ring on the stem!
Details of the day:
My inspiration was just trying to get the day to reflect our personalities: simple, bright, fun, woodsy, non-traditional. I went with a more vintagey look because that was what was aesthetically most appealing to me, and I thought it captured a more elegant, simple, yet youthful feel to the wedding day.
