The Bride and Groom Ensembles

The bride dressed in Signature Bridal Salon court train lace dress exhibits a classic southern belle. The cascading bouquet made up of roses and foliage added a glam and rustic touch to her whole look. The groom’s blue suit sure is classic and sophisticated — a little change from the traditional black suit. And instead of a pocket square, the groom got a pad of tiny succulents to stay with the succulents and organic theme.

The Ceremony Venue

The big window creates for a dramatic lighting that gives a mysterious silhouette as the bride enters. Such a breathtaking scene! The candle chandelier and succulents lining the aisle complemented well the simpleness of the barn.

Each table was designed to subtle and dainty to bear the southern vibes.

The Buffet Table

The elaborate centerpieces and table runners are definitely out of the norm! I love the green lush spread on the buffet tables along with the fresh fruits and veggies. Succulents were also significant in the theme they were going for. Looking at these photos made me hungry! What a feast!

A Wedding Concert For Two

Check out this couple who pulled off a wedding concert! Yes, Daren and Jane are both musicians, so it was inevitable that music was a huge part of the day. The couple performed the night away. It is such a joyous and offbeat way in celebrating a big day! Entertaining the guest while having a ton of fun — talk about hitting two birds with one stone! Check out the band stage where they also exchanged their I do’s.

The Venue

Mercury Cafe’s dance hall looked like a starry sky with all the fairy lights hovering the venue. It set a festive yet romantic mood. The wedding ceremony was where the band is setup. The groom and the bridal party walked down the aisle up to the stage and played the band as Jane was coming up to join them!

The Dress Code

Everyone was dressed to party and have fun! The bridesmaids were dressed in a color scheme — red, yellow, orange. Don’t forget the cowboy boots and flower crowns!

While there are many ways to find beautiful vintage engagement rings that have seen past eras, they can be a burden on the budget and might not be the perfect size. Romantic Vintage Rose Table Numbers: Free Wedding Printable

If you’re having a vintage floral or shabby chic wedding then these might be the perfect table numbers for you! I was inspired by Claire Pettibone’s Still Life Collection (and her stationery line) when I designed these ones. I just love the vintage watercolor look of them! You can easily print and cut these out at home for a simple DIY project that takes less than half an hour. Hopefully some of you will find them useful! You might also be interested in the wheat wreath table numbers, jam label table numbers, or pink rose wreath table numbers. Download and print numbers 1-32 below. Keep your eye out for woodland themed table numbers next!

I recommend printing on white or ivory cardstock. If you need them for more than 32 tables feel free to email me. Enjoy!

Rustic Sunset Styled Shoot at Vintage Oaks Ranch

The glow of near-dusk illuminates this styled shoot at Vintage Oaks Ranch in Axtell, Texas. The beautiful light shines through colorful yellow and fuchsia petals, vintage amber goblets, and the grove of oak trees on the 130 acre ranch. A blue vintage truck, delicate lace gown, mismatched china place settings, silver tea pots, and vintage furniture perfectly rounded out the rustic elegance of the barn venue and golden fields. We love the colorful floral stationery which perfectly matches the summery floral design. The signature cocktail is a watermelon habanero punch mixed with vodka. Mint Backyard wedding in Ontario {Caroline Ross Photography}

Megan and Phil had a backyard celebration full of vintage details and outdoor beauty. They were married at Phil’s parents’ house, on the beautiful French River, just south-west of Sudbury. This area of Northern Ontario is surrounded by tall pines, picturesque rivers, lakes, and fields of wildflowers – the perfect place for a natural wedding! They took photos in a nearby field aglow with summer light as well as on the rocks by the river. The modern-vintage-DIY theme was carried throughout the day, from the classic mint bridesmaids dresses, to the pink and gold dessert table, antique picture frames and handmade seating chart. Megan’s bouquet, studded with roses, daisies, and peonies was the perfect addition to the whole look. Thank you Caroline Ross Photography for sharing their inspiring day!

From the Bride…

Before the Ring:
Phil and I met through friends at a local bar, went on a date the next weekend and have been together ever since!

The Proposal:
He proposed at these beautiful falls on the French River, what I thought was a normal walk with our dog Poe ended with Phil down on one knee with my dream ring. It was simple and sweet – exactly how I imagined it. We actually got married just down the road from where he proposed, at his parents’ house just over a year later!

Details of the Day:
I had a lot of inspiration for the wedding but it all started with me falling in love with a retro pastel color scheme. I also got inspired by vintage thrift store finds, wedding blogs which featured amazing vintage weddings and ideas, and the beautiful French River where both the ceremony and reception was held.

As for the invitations, programs and table numbers, I had a vision of what I wanted and my friend Kaitlyn Morrow did a wonderful job designing them and putting them all together!

A wedding and reception can be a long day for little people so this shoot offers some creative and fun suggestions to entertain your little guests at your event. Be prepared for your tiny guests with an activity table with things like fun coloring books, chalk boards, bubbles, cookies and milk, and their very own disposable cameras so they can be a wedding photographer for the day too. We also adore the vintage furniture that displayed a gorgeous naked cake decked out in stunning floral! Not to mention puppies…yes. Happy Friday!

A color palette of melon, lemon and orange with a pop of teal accented in the furniture and decor tied in perfectly. Another unique addition to this stylized session was that we wanted to show fun ways to continue the color palette and decor into every last details, including the food. Gorgeous peach edible roses were frozen into the ice cubes tray for the drink and champagne area. Guests will dine on trays of tapas colored with yellow and orange. The menu offers heirloom tomatoes and fresh mango ceviche, as well as grilled peaches with bacon and mango tarts, with chicken satay. Tapas is a great idea for a mid morning brunch wedding!

Nature Meets Vintage Bridal Inspiration

I cannot even tell you how excited I am to share this styled shoot today! These vintage wedding gowns and accessories from Lacy Dresses Vintage and Whynaught Shop are featured here in four unique looks. Set in a fairytale forest these dresses take on an almost steampunk bridal fantasy look. From a 1910s Edwardian gown to a couture 1950s French gown these styles are certainly anything but boring. Read below for more on each look. Enjoy!

Look 1
A 1910s Edwardian Embroidered Gown, paired with vintage 70’s lace granny boots. In this look the jewelry is kept simple featuring an antique platinum and diamond wedding ring, paired with a contemporary cabochon glass and silver cocktail ring.

Look 2
For the Avant Garde Bride. “We wanted to emphasize the layers and textures of Vintage,” says the mother and daughter vintage shop owners and styling team. “From bottom to top our model is dressed in layered bobbin lace bloomers from the early 1900s. On top of this we added a skeleton wire and rope hoop skirt. The shawl is a lush Antique French Normandy lace. To top it all off, we incorporated an 1800s wire coil bustle for the Head Topper. Our prop was a woven stick sphere.”

Look 3
The quintessential Cinderella Bride. A Couture 1950’s French Gown in oyster colored Silk Satin embellished with micro sequin flowers and scroll pattern topped off with faceted prong set rhinestones for that added sparkle. “We featured this gown on its own as well as styling it with an antique “Show Girl” Ostrich Feather collar with a blue Silk Velvet ribbon tie.” The wedding jewelry is a vintage 1940s “Selro” clamp flower bracelet with matching earrings. The bracelet features a faux cabochon opal center stone with seed pearls and watermelon tourmaline over a gold filigree metal.

Look 4
A Vintage 1970s Beaded Satin gown with bell sleeves. This gown has all the features of modern mid-century design with beaded floral “Flower Power” pop art embellishment. The white on white keeps the color pallet neutral with added texture and pattern.

Southern Vintage Outdoor Wedding {Casey Rose Photography}

Some weddings just make you weak in the knees with the beauty of Southern vintage and country details – this is one of them. Jason and Khrissy celebrated with an outdoor ceremony and reception held at Khrissy’s uncle’s home in Clinton, North Carolina. Friends and family being of the utmost importance to this couple, they made sure to turn their September wedding into a huge celebration that highlighted their love of music, the outdoors, and all things vintage. Khrissy even collected one-of-a-kind vintage place settings for all 300 guests! We also love the tones of peachy pink, gold and greenery used in the bouquets – all beautifully captured by Casey Rose Photography.

More about Jason + Khrissy:

When Jason proposed to Khrissy, he took her back to the same place they had met three years ago: a country music bar where she first laid eyes on him and knew he was the one.

They knew they wanted fun, southern touches blended into the wedding day. Khrissy planned to open a vintage-rental company after the wedding, so she bonded with Jason’s mother who owns a vintage shop by collecting unique place settings for all 300 guests. They enjoyed their year of planning by scouring estate sales and purchasing vintage couches, a gorgeous vanity set and classic rock and country vinyl albums. They peppered the wedding site with framed images of family and rustic signs reminding guests to enjoy their day.

On the day of the wedding, rain threatened their outdoor ceremony, but the couple called upon their family and friends to help and everyone pitched in to decorate a gorgeous tent for the reception. They watched for a clearing in the weather and quickly decorated the outdoor ceremony site overlooking North Carolina pine trees. The result was more comradery among the guests and the light sprinkle of rain only added to the romance.
