Like a breath of fresh air spring is breathing the color back into the landscape across the northern hemisphere. With pops of blue, red, green, and purple, Holeigh V Photography put together this shoot of bold blooms and a beautiful lapis blue dress at Carriagan Farms in Mooresville, North Carolina. We love not only the bold hues but also the rich and varied texture of this bouquet of tulips, bells of Ireland, seeded eucalyptus, strawflowers, and clover buds to name a few. Rustic brass pitchers make for simple and charming vessels to hold accompanying blooms on table tops or even aisle-side at a ceremony.

One of the most joyful sights of spring is finding a cluster of crocuses blooming happily in a patch of snow. It’s no wonder, then, that these flowers symbolize cheerfulness and make a wonderful wedding day addition. Found in various habitats around the globe and grown in some climates to produce saffron, crocuses start from bulb-like corms and are hearty whether potted or cut. Include them in boutonnieres and bouquets, or adorn cakes and tables. Celebrate your new life together by giving crocus corms (bulbs) as wedding favors: your guests will think of you and your love as their gift grows and blossoms.

Crocuses grow in vibrant colors perfect for spring nuptials. A bit of inspiration to get you through your mid-week blues! Photographed in the Netherlands this spring at the medieval Muiderslot Castle, the ethereal backdrop set the scene for the perfect bridal inspiration shoot. The beautiful herb and vegetable gardens still retain the atmosphere of the Dutch Renaissance, while the more than 700-year-old walls evoke a timeless grandeur. In-season florals of hyacinths in purple and white added a simple and elegant burst of color against the dramatic landscape.
