Ah, the beauty of a sunset! Those captivating hues that travel a gradient of violet, fuchia, coral, peach, and prettiest pink. As far as warm-weather weddings go, there might not be a happier palette! From dip-dyed gowns, to ombre cakes, and watercolor invites, there are many ways to create a sunset-inspired wedding. The photo by Floret of the farm truck full of dahlias was the original inspiration for this post – and you could create something similar with blooms lined from pink to yellow down the center of a long table, along the aisle, or of course in the bouquets. We’re betting you can’t NOT smile when looking at this palette!

Early Spring Peach + Gold Wedding Inspiration

With a timeless elegance and classic romance, this wedding styled shoot was inspired by a spring floral palette of peach and gold. Perfect for warming up an indoor celebration in early spring when there is still a winter chill in the air. Soft blush and peach garden roses, white ranunculus, and greenery makes for a garden-chic bouquet we’d love to hold any time of year. The centerpieces contained similar colors but with the addition of spring ferns, pussy willow branches, and white hydrangea. Gold plate chargers were the perfect accent to the peaches on beds of moss, ferns, and mint at each place setting. Boho Courthouse and Forest Elopment in California

Katelyn and George decided to have an intimate courthouse ceremony instead of having the big, traditional wedding. They then had a beautiful photo session in a local forest area. None of their friends and family knew they were eloping, so the photos were all they had to show! They made an adorable homemade sign with their date and info telling the world they eloped. Katelyn wore an oh-so-pretty flower crown in shades of white, blush, peach, and plenty of green with a gorgeous bouquet to match. Pink + Peach Utah Wedding at The Canyons

Ashley and Nick had an elegant and classic wedding but elevated – they tied the knot at 10,000 feet! “We both love the mountains and being outdoors. Also the gondola ride at The Canyons sold us on the location,” says Ashley. They enjoyed a warm sunny day in the mountains, the rays of light setting their blush and peach flowers aglow with pink and amber. They incorporated personal details that made the day even more memorable – a family friend married them and a band from Ashley’s home town played during the ceremony and reception. Her dress, from Modern Trousseau, was the perfect classy and elegant choice for her, “I wanted to be able to look back on my wedding pictures in 10 or 20 years and think that they still looked elegant,” she says. I think she looks straight out of a fairytale as she walked through the aspens to meet her groom. Pepper Nix Photography is behind the lens.

How did you meet? We met online (eharmony.com)

What is your proposal story? Nick proposed to me in Heeney, Colorado while visiting some of his close friends. We had visited the same place the year before and fell in love with this beautiful and romantic lake, Cataract Lake. He took me back to the lake to propose, got down on one knee and all!

First look? We did do a first look and we loved it. It was such a special moment between the two of us. We were glad to get to have that before we walked down the aisle and saw each other in front of 200 of our closest friends and family. We also really enjoyed the gondola ride up with just the two of us. It was so nice to have that quiet time before all the craziness began.

Details of the Day: I love the colors blush pink, grey and gold. I’m also all about pearls and lace so it was just simple and classic. My wedding flowers were perfect and amazing. They were exactly what I had envisioned. Working with Kelli Daubling from Blooms and Blossoms was a dream. She absolutely understood my vision. I wanted a lot of soft, round flower arrangements. There were lots of roses and they were perfection. I did all the table numbers myself. We purchased picture frames that were on sale and spray painted them gold. For the insert numbers, I printed them on craft paper. Super simple.

Moments you loved, hated, cried, laughed or giggled at: The whole day was perfect and amazing. I have to say getting ready with my girls was such a blast. We had music and mimosas and were dancing up a storm. I love that time we had together. Honestly, I cried most of the day. I’m such a sap and it was an overwhelming and emotional day but I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Rustic Wisconsin Inspired Wedding Style at Maidenwood Lodge

Maidenwood Lodge is nestled in the hills over Lake Pepin in Wisconsin, in the beautiful town of Stockholm. Late last spring, Inspired Realities Events & Design gathered a team of talented vendors from the Make It Grand Marketplace in the Twin Cities to have a bit of fun making things pretty at the Lodge. The design team kept the colors muted so as not to take away from the lodge’s natural beauty. Peach, ivory, green, and splashes of copper and added in for a bit of flair were antlers found on the land nearby. Studio B Floral, brought her talents by using the array of plants and trees on site. The beautiful natural details, organically styled bouquet and luminous aura of these images is sure to make you smile. Maren Cotton Photography is behind the lens.

Their model, Nicki, (a past client of Inspired Realities) was called on to spend the day, back in her dress, and have some fun in front of the camera. Here’s what she had to say about her day at the lodge: “The shoot at Maidenwood was in a word serendipitous. I loved wearing my dress again and being able to go barefoot in the grass (not something I got to do on my wedding day). With none of the cares or preoccupations I might have had the first time I wore my gown, I was able to soak in every sweet moment and just have fun reliving my wedding day in my head. As I drove to the venue, counting down the miles, the turn off the main road onto the gravel road seemed to be the only thing parting the large green fields and trees showing off the area’s cliffs and valleys. The road to the Lodge set the tone for the entire day. Driving up to the house, it felt like I’d stepped into a painting. There’s a little shed and the barn with so many flowers that I couldn’t even see the front door. I was dwarfed in this enormous estate, pristinely groomed and maintained, yet somehow felt like I was home. The only thing that was not perfect about the day was that I had to leave it all behind. Maidenwood has left its mark on my heart.”

Michigan Garden Wedding at Southern Exposure Herb Farm

When Courtney and Mike visited Southern Exposure Herb Farm, they fell in love the moment they pulled in. It is surrounded by the most beautiful gardens, paths and the perfect little details that make it a unique place to host a wedding. “We love being outside and knew we wanted an outdoor site and they had one open Saturday in their calendar so we booked in on the spot,” says Courtney. The farm took care of catering, flowers, and music. They enjoyed perfect weather as they said their vows before family and friends in the beautiful garden. Accents of light blue, peach, and blush were carried throughout – as well as beautiful succulents and burlap. “We love succulent plants and have a bunch in the living room as they are pretty low maintenance. We gathered various glass containers and planted/grew them throughout the year (they took over our garage!) Country Chic Virginia Wedding {Amanda C Blake Photography}

Becky and Eric tied the knot this spring after seven years together. They met in their second year at the University of Virginia and have been together ever since! The quiet and picturesque Wolftrap Farm in Gordonsville, Virginia was the perfect place for this sweet couple’s elegant celebration. The rolling hills led down to their outdoor ceremony where their adorable dog joined them! A simple and soft palette of peach, blush, and gold created the perfect accent to the gorgeous natural surroundings. Amanda C Blake Photography was behind the lens.

The Proposal:

One of the many things that Eric and I have in common is our love of Hilton Head Island, SC. When we first met, we were excited to find that both of our families vacationed on Hilton Head whenever possible. The first time we said “I love you” was on those very beaches. We were merely sophomores at UVA and knew that we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together. Five years later, Eric proposed to me on that very same beach… the beach that we would later spend our long-awaited honeymoon!

Details of the Day:

The wedding palette kind of chose itself as we looked at bridesmaid dress colors and linens and such. I fell in love with the melon/peach colored linens provided by our planner and it kind of went from there. I wanted to add a touch of elegance to the rustic venue so we decided to add some gold in with the coral and peach tones. The guy’s seersucker suits were a fun addition to the overall theme of southern elegance that we were going for. What was nice about the venue was that we didn’t have to do much to it. The scenery and perfect weather that day spoke for itself. I tried to use minimal decor so as not to fight with the natural beauty of the place.

Peach Garden Wedding Inspiration {Shelly Taylor Photography}

Happy Friday, Violets! Can you believe it is one of the last weekends of summer already? Let’s start it off right with this gorgeous inspiration from Shelly Taylor Photography! This garden themed shoot captures a romantic, lush atmosphere with peach, blush, creams and greens that pair perfectly with the massive oak trees and beautiful grounds of Cathedral Oaks in Belton, Texas. I’m in love with the four-tier white cake adorned with peach and pale pink roses, leafy flower crown, and the fresh peaches incorporated throughout!

The cakes were placed on an antique buffet from Swoon Vintage Rentals. We built a custom moss wall backdrop adorned with a vine monogram to add to the garden feel and make the colors provided by the florals pop. A gold mirrored bar cart was stocked with vintage milk glasses, gold striped straws, and a refreshing peach beverage that guests could indulge in. Our floral team brought our vision to life with breathtaking arrangements and garlands. – Posh Events

Vintage tea cups were used to romanticize the dessert table and were filled with green ball dianthus, peach hypericum, Queen Anne’s lace and peach stock. Three bird cages hanging above the sweetheart table were also filled with florals and ivy to add a whimsical touch. Our cascade of florals was not only aesthetically pleasing, but also signifies the growth of love. Our model, Hagan, looked stunning in the gorgeous pale peach lace gown from Second Summer Bride. Nori Cruz styled the bride’s hair with loose curls and a boho braid and added a fresh floral crown for a picture-perfect wedding hair style. Alex Nini used airbrush to create a flawless and long lasting wedding day look. A dainty, custom made floral ring was worn by Hagan – a trendy touch to any outdoor wedding. – Posh Events

Sweet Southern Florida Wedding {Ais Portraits}

Brittany and Travis both grew up traveling the world because of their military families. When they met on a blind date, they instantly connected over their shared way of life. A lot of the planning for their Tallahassee, Florida wedding happened from Moscow, Russia where Brittany’s mother was living. The ceremony took place at the same church where Travis proposed! They envisioned a day filled with flowers (we love the pastel peach and green of her bouquet!), the father of the groom’s Old 1967 Dodge 100 as a getaway car, homemade pies, mismatched bridesmaid dresses, both military fathers in full uniform, hand-sewn handkerchiefs, and hand-dyed silk ribbon details. It ended in a true Southern-fashion: sipping sweet tea and dancing with family and friends. Ais Portraits is behind the lens.

Vermont Treehouse Elopement {Somerby Jones Photography}

Any fan of Shel Silverstein has probably dreamed of living in a treehouse at some point. I know I have! This treehouse elopement inspiration shoot captures the adventurous and laid back spirit that so many couples who choose to get married in Vermont share. The Moose Meadow Lodge, a log home and tree house wedding venue on 86 secluded acres in the Green Mountains is well-known for holding intimate weddings and elopements. It was the perfect place for these simple and beautiful, outdoorsy details! Somerby Jones Photography is behind the lens.

We wanted to incorporate simple DIY elements into the shoot that could be easily replicated for an elopement or small wedding. On the sweetheart table, the menu holder is a simple piece of moss-covered kindling with a slit we made to hold the menu. It’s something that anyone with a wood pile–which pretty much everyone in Vermont has–could easily make. The bride’s bouquet and the groom’s flask are wrapped in a blue and white baker’s twine to add a crafty feel and pick up on the blues that were subtly woven into the shoot. The florist, Laura from Unfurled Vermont, foraged for flowers to include in the all the florals, and Brittany from Bridge Street Hair kept both the bride’s hair and makeup simple as we envisioned the couple preferring to spend their time during their elopement weekend exploring the hiking trails with their dog and local area.

Waterbury is known for its craft beer, and with the craft beer in the final shots, we included a nod to the many couples who visit here each year to sample some of the world’s best beer. And we couldn’t have asked for a better pair of models, Dani and Corey, who are engaged and getting married in Vermont in just a few weeks. Being a couple who is getting married in the area, they perfectly understood the style we were going for it and fit it perfectly–right down to Corey’s beard!
