Misty Mountaintop Wedding by Anna Sawin Photography

With a bouquet of golden wheat (love this!) and a misty green mountain as a ceremony backdrop, this Massachusetts wedding evokes natural beauty and such sweet, sweet candor. It rained most of the night before the wedding and all morning the day of, so they prepared for weather at its wettest. But 30 minutes before they arrived, the rain stopped, and a beautiful mist unfurled itself across the valley while they stood on the mountaintop. Read below for photographer Anna Sawin’s take on the day.

From the Photographer: Stephanie and Ben created a DIY feast for the senses with a glorious outdoor fall wedding filled with beauty and creativity. On that misty mountaintop, all of us there were reminded that it all comes down to something so simple — two people deeply in love, surrounded by those who know and love them most. A teary bride and a choked up groom exchanged tender, heartfelt vows, and then, all smiles, walked hand in hand down the aisle to bagpipe music — fitting for the misty blue and green valleys below. After the ceremony and photos, we arrived at the famed Blue Heron Restaurant. (Last year, it was home to the wedding celebration of actress Jane Lynch!) The bride and groom danced, dined and were toasted — the room seemed to envelop them in a giant hug.
