Summery and fresh, this yellow and pink picnic engagement session is complete with cold lemonade, sweet lemon merengue pie and two sweethearts who have been dating since they were in high school. By the time they had gone to both proms together, Nicole says that Zach had captured her heart and they knew it was meant to be. This past December he surprised her with a stunning ring and the question of a lifetime. Read below for their engagement story.
The Proposal:
It all started by a casual trip to the mall, where he had to go “pay some bills.” Zach insisted I get a manicure while he ran his errands. Eventually, we went out to dinner at a local restaurant. Just after the waitress cleared our table, he looked me in the eyes and said “We have been through so much together. I love you, and I will always love you. He started talking about our past and our future and before I could take everything in, he was on one knee asking me to marry him. It was so amazing. At that moment, he made all my dreams come true. With tears in my eyes, I said yes. I instantly called my mom and sisters. The restaurant gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate the start our future life together. I had been waiting my WHOLE life for that day …
Nicole and Zach will tie the knot on July 6th, 2013 on the beach in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and the reception will take place at Eesley Place in Plainwell, Michigan. Happy wedding planning you two!
