Josh and Michelle met during grad school. They both share a sense of humor and a great love of sports (they spent their honeymoon stadium-hopping baseball games). I love their bold use of red and white for this summer beach wedding. It goes so well with the delicious dessert table filled with strawberries, black cherries and chocolate! They threw an amazing party while keeping to their budget by having their ceremony at a semi-private beach (at the Traverse City senior center) and their tent reception at Michelle’s aunt and uncles home. Michelle also made many of the details for the wedding herself. Her friend, Richie Heath, helped use fallen birch logs to create a lot of her details (cake stand, table markers, escort card holders). And isn’t that the most adorable “here comes the bride” photo?
