One year ago today, I married my best friend, Tim. It’s hard to believe a whole year has flown by already. It seems to me just yesterday that I was stepping onto the gondola with my three bridesmaids at Loon Mountain Resort and riding to the summit for the ceremony, butterflies in my stomach. I look back on our day with such joy. The purple and green colors and naturally beautiful location made it such a picturesque event, not to mention the joy of having our closest friends and family there.
I’ve put together a few of my favorite shots by Orah Moore to share with you. We had a blast on the mountain taking photos after the ceremony and walked out into the river at the base of the mountain for some of my favorite shots of the day. It felt so good to take my heels off and cool my feet in the water. After only a few hours of walking around on the mountain I had blisters. Ladies, my advice to you for your big day is about shoes – yes, shoes. If you aren’t someone who wears heels all the time, like me, then bring a pair of pretty sandals or flats to wear to the reception. I am so glad I did, so that I could dance the night away without my feet killing me!

Here’s to us, my love! And to many more years of adventure, love, and laughter.
About the Dress:
I tried on more than 30 wedding dresses from three different bridal boutiques when I was dress shopping. So many of them were amazing, yet the one I couldn’t get out of my head was the very first one I tried on. The Fern Gown by eco-couture designer Adele Wechsler. I loved how it had silk flower vines trailing around it with little green organza leaves tucked here and there. Of course, it was well beyond my budget so I moved on and eventually bought an affordable lacy gown with a unique keyhole back that my bridesmaids and mom all loved. It was very pretty, but two months later I was still thinking about the Fern dress. My husband found out and secretly contacted the reps at Adele Wechsler to see if he could get his hands on the floor sample at a discounted price. It was supposed to be a surprise when the dress arrived but I found out because an email was accidentally sent to me about the shipment. I was so ecstatic! I couldn’t believe he bought me my dream dress. I had it cleaned and taken in two sizes and ended up wearing the exact same dress that I first tried on!
