One of my favorite wedding gown designers of all time is Claire Pettibone. I am ceaselessly amazed by her ultra-feminine, delicate designs that are often botanically inspired. My favorite, Viola (first shown below) is a mermaid gown made of embroidered tulle and platinum silk with Guipure lace trims and a sheer back. This dress makes me want to get married all over again. In her Fall 2012 collection she impresses once again with details such as cotton embroidery, floral jacquard waistbands, blue and ivory lace detail, gold embroidered tulle with pearl silk, intricate shoulder details, and scalloped lace (as seen in the Eloquence gown). I don’t often use the term “swoon-worthy” but these dresses definitely are.
